NOTES

A New Zealand collection [Wellington, 17.IX.1917, Cunningham, Y. H., wood, as Nummularia regia (GZU-Petrak 2139)] is much like this fungus except for having narrower ascospores, 22-25 x 9-11 mm, and more or less inequilateral ascospores with less than spore-length to spore-length germ slit frequently on the less convex side.
