HYPOXYLON ARCTICUM (FUCKEL) ROSTR.

The status of the name is uncertain.

Hypoxylon arcticum (Fuckel) Rostr.

This name appears in Saccardo (1898, p. 1089) without a detailed citation. We could not trace it back to its basionym. We have seen a specimen labeled as Sphaeria arctica by Fuckel from G. This specimen was annotated by von Arx in 1948 as "Mycosphaerella allicina (Fr.)" which was later synonymized with M. tassiana (De Not.) Johans. by Müller and von Arx (1962). However, no mature fungal structures were found in the specimen.
