HYPOXYLON CESATIANUM COOKE

The status of the name is uncertain.

Hypoxylon cesatianum Cooke, Grevillea 11: 133. 1883.

MALAYSIA: Borneo, Sarawak, Beccari, O., wood, as H. anthracodes Mont. (K, HOLOTYPE of H. cesatianum).

The type material at K has small ostiolar discs ca. 0.2 mm dim, a dark olivaceous stromatal surface and dull green (70) stromatal pigments. Although it is immature, there is little doubt that it belongs to Hypoxylon section Annulata.
