HYPOXYLON COORGIANUM PANDE

Hypoxylon coorgianum Pande, Bull. Bot. Surv. India 15: 8. 1973; as "coorgiana".

INDIA: Karnataka, Coorg, 10.1969, Ullasa, B.A., corticated wood (AMH 1529, HOLOTYPE of H. coorgianum).

This fungus is closely related to H. discolor Berk. & Broome from which it differs in having larger ascospores, 16-18 x 7.5-9 mm. Its taxonomic position is uncertain.
