LOCALITY UNKNOWN: wood (L 910, 267-844, 910, 267-850, 910, 267-852, & 910, 267-853, TYPES of Sphaeria incrustans).
A nomen confusum. Four of Persoon's specimens from L have been examined. Specimens 910, 267-844 and 910, 267-850 are sterile. Specimen 910, 267-852 is Amphisphaerella xylostei (Pers.: Fr.) Munk. Specimen 910, 267-853 is Biscogniauxia mediterranea (De Not.) Kuntze.
