INDIA: Barguai, 5.9.1903, Butler 1140, corticated wood, as H. pistillare (S).

The type from Java was not located. The original description indicates that this fungus is probably a Rhopalostroma. The cited material from India fits Rhopalostroma indicum D. Hawksworth & Muthappa.
