Hypoxylon tuberiforme Wallr. ex Mont., Ann. Sci. Nat. Bot., sér. IV, 9: 55. 1858.

Saccardo (1882a) suspected it to be a Ustulina. Cooke (1883b) stated that this fungus "seems to be undoubtedly Ustulina".
