The status of the name is uncertain.Nummularia caespitosa Pat., Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 4: 110. 1888.
The type was not found at FH. Judging from the protologue, there is little doubt that Patouillard's fungus is a ustulinoid Kretzschmaria.
