HYPOXYLON ARGILLACEUM (PERS.) NITSCHKE VAR. ABYSSINICUM PASS.

The status of the name is uncertain.

Hypoxylon argillaceum (Pers.) Nitschke var. abyssinicum Pass., Nuovo Giorn. Bot. Ital. 7: 186. 1875.

We have not seen material of this name. It was said to differ from the typical variety in having smaller ascospores (in Saccardo, 1882a).
