SPHAERIA LYCOPERDOIDES WEIGEL
The status of the name is uncertain.Sphaeria lycoperdoides (Sphaeria) Weigel, Observ. Bot., p. 47. 1772.
As mentioned in Tulasne and Tulasne (1863), Sphaeria lycoperdoides
had been referred to H. coccineum Bull. [= H. fragiforme
(Pers.: Fr.) J. Kickx fil.] or H. fuscum (Pers.: Fr.) Fr.
Therefore, it may be considered to be a member of Hypoxylon section Hypoxylon.
The genus name, Lycoperdoides Dillenius [nom. inval., ICBN
Art. 13.1] non P. Mich., is possibly represented by S. lycoperdoides.
