Miller (1961) considered this fungus a good Nummularia. Laessøe et al. (1989) synonymized these names with Camillea broomeiana (Berk. & M. A. Curtis) Laessøe, J. D. Rogers, & Whalley which was later treated as a synonym of C. obularia (Fr.) Laessøe, J. D. Rogers, & Lodge by Rogers et al. (1991). We could not locate the type at LPS.
