NUMMULARIA SUBORBICULARIS (WELW. & CURR.) SACC. The status of the name is uncertain.Nummularia suborbicularis (Welw. & Curr.) Sacc., Syll. Fung. I, p. 399. 1882. º Hypoxylon suborbiculare Welw. & Curr., Trans. Linn. Soc., London 26: 281. 1867; non Peck, 1879. Possibly a Biscogniauxia. The type was not located at K. This fungus was described (in Saccardo, 1882a) as having a whitish stromatal interior, having margins "inverso et crassescente", having prominent papillate ostioles, and having blackish brown ascospores, 12-13 mm long. |
