GUYANA: Leprieur, C. 532, corticated wood (PC, HOLOTYPE of Hypoxylon exsurgens).

The holotype is sterile. The stromata have the bipartite structure of Biscogniauxia Kuntze and Camillea Fr. Also see Rogers et al. (1994).
