The status of the name is uncertain.Daldinia warburgii Henn., Hedwigia 32: 225. 1893.
INDONESIA: Celebes, Warburg, wood (S, LECTOTYPE [selected by Ju and Rogers (1996)] of Daldinia warburgii).
It is an undoubted Kretzschmaria species. Child (1932), however, believed that this is a Hypoxylon. The material is fragmentary and further identification is thus impossible.
