NOTES
Nemania quadrata is characterized by discoid stromata, whitish stromatal tissue between the perithecia, large ascospores, and a short, inconspicuous, broad germ slit on the dorsal side of the ascospores. Asci were not intact and could not be measured. See also the notes on N. kellermanii.
