The teleomorph is much like that of the typical variety except in consistently having a longer ascospore appendage, 2.5-4 mm, in having a less than spore-length germ slit, and in having more frequently inequilateral and somewhat broader ascospores, 10-12 (not including appendage) x 6-7.5 (-8.5) mm.
