Nemania maculosa (J. D. Rogers, Callan & Samuels) G. J. D. Smith & K. D. Hyde

TELEOMORPH | CULTURES AND ANAMORPH | SPECIMENS EXAMINED | NOTES

NOTES

This fungus has an applanate stroma which is most commonly found in Biscogniauxia. The lack of bipartite stromata and possession of urn-shaped ascal apical rings justify its disposition in Nemania rather than Biscogniauxia. It is noteworthy that the stromatal surface is covered by a whitish pellicle. Unfortunately, this fungus has not been cultured.
