NOTES

The stromatal surface color of H. dingleyae is like that of H. papillatum. Hypoxylon dingleyae differs from H. papillatum in having luteous (12) KOH-extractable pigments, in having a dehiscent perispore, and in having a germ slit much less than spore-length. It is known only from New Zealand.
