NOTES

This fungus is closely related to K. curvirima and K. micropus. These taxa are characterized by constantly bearing coremial remnants on the top of stromata. Kretzschmaria guyanensis differs from the latter two taxa in having larger ascospores and in having larger ascus rings. It also differs from K. curvirima in having a straight ascospore germ slit.
