NOTES
This fungus is peculiar in lacking an anamorph but readily producing the teleomorph in culture and in growing on wood in mangrove forests near the ocean. A case probably could be made to segregate N. maritima to a new genus. This fungus was previously included in Ju & Rogers (1999) who did not give it a formal name because the material available then was limited and thus not suitable for type designation.
