Stromata and perithecia much as in K. deusta.
Ostioles finely papillate to papillate.
Asci 290-340 mm total length x 11-15 mm broad, the spore-bearing parts 200-240 mm long, the stipes 70-110 mm long, with apical ring bluing in Melzer's iodine reagent, urn-shaped, 6-10 mm high x 3.5-5.5 mm broad.
Ascospores dark brown, unicellular, fusoid to ellipsoid, inequilateral, with narrowly to broadly rounded ends, smooth, (30-)33-46 x 8.5-11.5 mm, with straight germ slit nearly spore-length or slightly less than spore-length.
